A cookie is a short file that a website stores in your browser. The browser sends it back on your next visit — which is how the site remembers, for instance, how you set your consent.
By duration we distinguish session cookies, which disappear when you close the browser, and persistent ones, which stay stored until the stated lifetime expires or until you delete them.
By origin they are first-party cookies, ours, and third-party cookies, stored in your browser by services we use on the site.
The ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC), as transposed into national law in each member state, distinguishes two situations.
Without consent we may store only cookies needed solely to carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested. That is the minimum without which the site would not work.
With consent we store everything else. Those cookies do not load before you give consent. We do not run the scripts first and wait to see whether you refuse.
Consent is voluntary. If you refuse, the site goes on working in full.
On your first visit a banner appears with “Accept all” and “Reject all” equally available. No option is pre-selected and refusing is no harder than accepting.
You can change the setting at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Consent lasts 12 months (365 days), then we ask again. If you refused, we ask again no sooner than after 6 months (182 days).
You can also delete and block cookies directly in your browser — its help pages describe how, under “cookies”. If you block the technically necessary ones too, some parts of the site will stop working.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
rw_souhlas | rewater.eu | Storing your cookie consent choice | persistent | 365 days; 182 days after a refusal |
Apart from storing your consent choice, this site sets no first-party cookies of its own. This cookie is strictly necessary for a service you explicitly request — so that we respect your choice on your next visit too — and therefore needs no consent. If you block it, the site still displays; we will simply ask again every time.
The enquiry form stores no cookie in your browser.
We measure how many people visit the site, where they come from and which pages interest them. It serves to improve the site — not to identify you personally.

According to Google, IP addresses are neither logged nor stored in Google Analytics; they serve only to derive an approximate location at the moment of collection and are not worked with further.
They let us reach with advertising the companies that showed an interest in saving water, and measure whether the advertising makes sense. Unlike analytics, these tools read their cookies outside this website too. Consent to them is separate — you can allow statistics and refuse marketing.

Seznam Sklik — retargeting — provider Seznam.cz, a.s., Radlická 3294/10, 150 00 Prague 5, Czech Republic, Company ID 26168685. ⚠ It does not load on this language version at all. Sklik runs only on the Czech pages (addresses beginning /cs/). We list it here so that the cookie policy covers the whole site.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
sid | Passing an identifier from Seznam to this site in order to deliver retargeting | first-party | see your browser settings |
udid | A marketing identifier replacing the former third-party cookie | first-party | see your browser settings |
sznaiid | An ad-impression identifier for conversion measurement | first-party | see your browser settings |
On the Czech pages, Seznam's retargeting script receives the consent signal from us and does not load at all without it. We pass it no e-mail address and no other direct identifier — the e-mail field stays empty. Seznam does not state the lifetime of these cookies in its documentation; you can find it in your browser settings under this site's domain.
How to withdraw marketing consent. Change your choice via the Cookie settings link in the footer. From that moment the scripts no longer load. ⚠ Cookies LinkedIn has already stored sit on its domain and we cannot delete them from this site — you delete them in your browser settings, or directly in your LinkedIn account settings.
Google and LinkedIn may make data available to their parent company in the United States. The transfer rests on the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and, additionally, on standard contractual clauses under Decision (EU) 2021/914. Seznam.cz is a Czech controller and transfers no data outside the EU.
Some cookies contain identifiers that are personal data. How we handle them, whom we pass them to and what rights you have is set out in our Privacy policy.
We update the list of cookies whenever a tool that stores them is added to or removed from the site. The current wording is always on this page.
