Fitting a thousand outlets is skilled work, not just installation.

We install across a whole building without shutting it down — our products and the ones you have already bought elsewhere. Every outlet gets a new seal, a specified tightening torque and a leak test. And it does not end at installation: the insert is a wear part.

Building-wide rollout without downtime

Changing the insert at one basin takes minutes. The problem starts at eight hundred of them, in a hotel that is fully booked.

We work floor by floor and wing by wing, to your schedule. Operations carry on — no room, ward or office closes because of us.

We will fit products you bought elsewhere. If they are already in your store, there is no reason to leave them there — installation is a service, not an attachment to an order.

Every outlet on record: what was on it, what is there now and the flow we measured. Supporting data for the asset register and for any later claim.

The craft

What makes an installation right

Four things it rests on — and the four most often skipped when the change is done in a hurry.

A new seal

The O‑ring is a wear part and it gets replaced at every removal. An old, hardened seal is the most common reason a joint drips after the change.

A specified torque

An aerator is tightened to a specified torque, not “as hard as it goes”. Overtighten and the housing cracks and the thread strips; undertighten and it seeps past the seal.

Seat and thread

We clean the sealing seat and the thread in the tap itself. Limescale on the seat will defeat even a new seal — the joint will drip whatever we screwed into it.

Leak and flow test

Once fitted, we check every joint and measure the actual flow. The figure in the report does not come from a catalogue but from that particular outlet.

Three preconditions

They are not ours — they follow from the standards and from physics. Where they are not met, we say so at the audit stage, not at the complaint stage.

After installation

The insert is a wear part

It clogs with limescale and debris and the flow gradually drops. That is not a fault, it is the principle — which is why it can be replaced on its own, without touching the tap.

There is no universal interval

How fast an insert clogs depends on water hardness and on use. Sanitary tapware manufacturers agree on only a qualitative rule — "according to water hardness"; nobody guarantees a figure. Numbers such as "every six months" that circulate online come from plumbing practice, not from a standard and not from a regulation.

So we offer an annual service visit as the starting regime and adjust it after the first year according to what the measurements actually show. More often on hard water; on soft water, less may be enough.

Removal and disassembly

The insert is taken apart into screen, seal and housing.

Descaling and brushing

A citric acid solution, a soft brush and a thorough rinse in clean water.

Replacing what is spent

The seal every time. The insert wherever cleaning will not bring the flow back.

Refitting, leak test, record

Refitted to the specified torque, leak check, flow measurement and an entry in the service record.

Cleaning

What to use, and what never to

Sanitary tapware manufacturers agree on this across brands. Aggressive chemistry does not only destroy the insert — it damages the tap finish too.

  • a solution of citric acid (on plastic parts, diluted and for a short contact time)
  • a soft brush
  • a thorough rinse in clean water
  • clean the thread and the sealing seat in the tap as well

No

  • hydrochloric, acetic (vinegar included), formic or phosphoric acid
  • sodium hypochlorite and chlorine bleaches
  • abrasives, wire wool, hard scouring pads
  • mixing different cleaners together
  • spraying aerosol cleaner directly on to the tap

Routine cleaning of the insert

Your operations staff can handle it. We supply a short guide — the method and the list of what must never be used.

Replacement, seal check, flow measurement

We do this, as part of the service visit. The result goes into the service record.

Who is responsible for maintenance

EN 806-5 states that responsibility for operating, inspecting and maintaining the system is governed by local and national rules, and requires that the information needed for correct operation and maintenance be available. The service record we keep forms part of that trail — but it does not replace your duty under those rules.

Healthcare runs on a different regime

Non-aerating laminar inserts instead of aerating ones, and replacement to a schedule rather than to condition. The reason is aerosol and stagnation, not saving water.
